Privacy Policy for TeknoTools
This policy describes how TeknoTools (“the App”) handles information. We do not operate a backend that collects your personal data. The App is designed so that connections stay on your device.
1. Information we do not collect
The developer of TeknoTools does not collect, sell, or share personal information. The App does not include analytics, advertising, crash-reporting SDKs, or tracking. We do not use data for tracking across apps or websites.
2. Data stored on your device
Profiles, settings, and similar data you enter (for example Proxmox, SSH, RDP, VNC, ping monitor, Docker hosts) are stored locally on the device using on-device storage (including SwiftData / UserDefaults).
Passwords, passcodes, and keys are stored in the device Keychain, not in iCloud, and are not sent to the developer.
If you export profiles, the file is created on your device. Passwords and keys are not included in exports.
3. Connections you make
When you connect to Proxmox VE, Proxmox Backup Server, Proxmox Mail Gateway, SSH, RDP, VNC, Docker, SNMP, LDAP, databases, or similar systems, traffic goes directly from your device to the host you specify. The developer does not receive those credentials or session contents.
Tools such as HTTP Status and SSL Checker contact only the address you enter. Network Scanner, Ping, Wake-on-LAN, and similar tools use the local network with your permission.
Whois Lookup, when you start a lookup, queries public WHOIS servers (for example regional internet registries) with the domain or IP you entered. MAC Lookup uses a vendor list on the device and does not send the MAC address to the developer.
4. Permissions
- Local Network: to discover and scan devices on your LAN.
- Camera: only if you use QR Code scanning.
- Face ID / Touch ID: only to unlock the App on this device. Biometric data stays on the device and is processed by the operating system.
You can revoke permissions in system Settings.
5. Purchases and subscriptions
The App is free to download. Optional TeknoTools Pro access is sold as auto-renewable monthly or yearly subscriptions through the App Store. Payment is processed by Apple. The developer does not receive your full payment card details. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings. Apple’s privacy policy applies to App Store billing.
6. Children
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
7. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
